Called tall case clocks they were made jointly by a clockmaker and a cabinetmaker. And a Four Poster bed. The pencil four post bed is a true country-style four poster. It originated in late-eighteenth century New England when country cabinetmakers began using designs that emulated the slender, tapering bed frames introduced by Hepplewhite and Sheraton.

Two Door Primitive Tall Cupboard. $695.00 72" high, 36" wide, 12 1/2" deep.
The chair-table first appeared in the 1600s in the British Isles, Holland, and northern France and spread from there to North America. As it name implies, the chair-table was two pieces of furniture in one. The chair portion had an attached tabletop that pivoted up and down on removable wooden pegs. As a single chair, the piece was placed up against the wall, with the tabletop positioned vertically to double as a backrest. Pulled into the center of the room, the chair became a base for the tabletop, which pulled down on top of it. Chair-table $550.00 42" diameter, 28 & 1/2" high. These early chests of drawers first appeared in the late 1600's. They evolved from the framed chest with lift up storage lid. Once the chest was given bottom drawers, it wasn't long before woodworkers figured they could fit the entire case with drawers. Note graduated bottom three drawers. Eight Drawer Dresser. $995.00. Great Blanket Crane Primitive Shelf. $195.00 This one is mustard over red. (some pictures look much darker because of light). But you can have in your choice of color. Four different types of wood are used: hickory spindles-very flexible; white oak bend steam and bend well; hard maple turnings-hold crisp edges; and poplar or pine seats-thick and yet still lightweight. All joints are wedged or pinned; jack-planed bottoms and crackled and worn paint finishes. Early Windsor's were traditionally painted because of the different woods used to make them. Colors come in Black over red, dark green over red, Light green over red, mustard over brown, pumpkin over brown, brown over pumpkin, red over brown, blue over brown, brown over red.
