Small Tavern Table
This is a small tavern table that is designed to be used as an end table. It features hand turned legs that splay out gently in all directions and a circular hand planed top. Tavern tables were made to handle heavy use in early America, that is why they often are found with lower stretchers to provide strength and stability to the legs. We lowered the height of this table from a standard tavern table height so instead of eating at it or enjoying a drink, it is the right height to put next to a chair or sofa. This one has it’s base painted in robin’s egg blue and a custom vinegar stain for the top.
